- Pin to top keeps it at the top of the list.
- Poll adds answers to vote on, at least two and at most six. You put the question in the text.
- Remind users who haven't viewed sends one reminder.
- Auto-archive after takes it away by itself.
By default an announcement goes to everyone straight away, with a push notification and no email, and reactions and comments are on.
Who gets notified, and when
- People get one notification, the first time it is published. Later edits do not notify anyone again.
- The push notification and the email show the title.
- Everyone includes people who join later.
- A person gets at most 5 of these notifications per hour.
What employees see
Under Announcements on the web and the News tab on the phone. They can react, comment and vote, and choose Confirm reading when you ask for it. An announcement counts as read once it has been on their screen, even if they did not open it.
Follow up
On the web, Send reminder nudges people who have not confirmed yet, once a day at most, and only for announcements that require confirmation. From there you can also Duplicate or Archive it.
What is not possible
- Attaching a file such as a PDF to an announcement. A Cover image does work.
- Setting a deadline for confirming.
- Repeating an announcement automatically.
- Your own text for the push notification. It always shows the title.
- Saving a draft on the phone.
